Artbook #1

This artbook is a collection of 200 drawings made by me from 2014 to 2024 and contains only drawings done 'for myself,' not tied to work for others

(if I included those done as work, this would be an artbook with about 3000 drawings!).

Comic pages I’ve created are also not included here (if you want to read Romano & Rovetta #1, click on the menu), so this is a collection of ideas, concept art, and many drawings I made to test new techniques I learned over the years. After I finish the next 200 drawings, I'll publish Artbook #2 here on the website — I promise it will take much less than 10 years!

Anyway, enjoy the reading!

This is Amy from my series "True Eyes". I did this illustration exclusive for the "Contact" banner on this website. I thought would be cool making she using a classic telephone and looking at an old pc monitor. I was born in 1989 so these things brings me good memories!

Abe and Lara Sauber from "True Eyes". Drawing just made for testing a cell-shading like color scheme, more focused on lines and forms and less in painting.

Romano and Rovetta in a characteristic rock formation from their story. Illustration made just to test a no-outlines technique.

This is a commemorative illustration of a mage holding the Medusa Skull. In 2012 I won a contest for a MMORPG game called Tibia and that item I created, the Medusa Skull, was added to the game. So I did this drawing 12 years later just to remember the event! These fantasy themed art pieces looks really good, I should do more of it.

Concept art of a guy in a submarine exploring a kind of underwater ruins. Did it after watching The Abyss (1989) a very interesting movie directed by James Cameron. Drawing machines are not easy but they look very cool when done!

Drawing just for practice drawing animals, here felines. The girl is a kind of "Dora the Explorer" looking, maybe this hairstyle is the best for explorer girls!

Im a big fan of warfare things, did this concept after playing again Advance Wars 1 and 2 for the GameBoy Advance.

A concept car inspired on japanese Kei-cars. Kei car is the smallest category of Japanese, expressway-legal motor vehicles. 'Kei' is diminutive for kei-jidōsha, "light automobile" or "compact automobile".

I did this environment art after learning about isometric illustration. It's based on a scene of my series "Romano & Rovetta", where Romano lures the bad guys for a trap in the desert.

Concept art depicting clothes variations of Romano, from "Romano & Rovetta". This kind of artwork is used a lot for game developing!

Same thing, but with Rovetta. I think of her as a master of disguise!

Environment art, adding denser and denser layers of blue helps create a sense of atmosphere for a scene, especially when depicting great distances.

Romano & Rovetta #1 cover art. I'm a big fan os spaghetti western movies, inspiration for this one includes elements from "Once Upon a Time in the West" (1968) and "Duck, You Sucker!" (1971), both directed by Sergio Leone.

Made to express my hype for the remake of my 2nd favorite game of all time, Metal Gear Solid 3. Hideo Kojima's masterpiece, everything in this game is great!

Sedan car concept art, kind of 80s vibe. I wish they would keep making cars with designs inspired by different eras!

Underwater concept art piece made using the Golden Ratio (or Fibonacci Sequence) for composition. A good composition can make all the difference when creating an image!

Nakoruru from Samurai Shodown (Samurai Spirits in Japan). One of the game series that inspired me to start making art in the 90s.

Environment art depicting a desert in the middle of a forest. Very important setting for "True Eyes" story.

Just a cool summer illustration for training some perspective. Female anatomy is one of my favorite things to draw, it was very difficult to learn, but now that I know how I can't stop drawing hahaha!

Advertising illustration for a fast food restaurant project called "Red Tail". This burger looks juicy!

Little Red Riding Hood and the Wolf inspired illustration. She looks like B.B. Hood from Darkstalkers game series, amazing game with amazing characters.

Mugshot illustraton of the same character, Kaolin.

I did some funny fanarts at this time, all of them recorded in video for my youtube channel. This is the one for Alien (1979) with a lollipop twist.

This is Link, from "The Legend of Zelda" games, looks like the chickens finally will have their revenge. I recommend playing Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES) and Minish Cap (GBA), great games!

Morrigan Aensland from "Darkstalkers" ("Vampire" in Japan) games being a bit emotional on her period.

SpongeBob Squarepants doing what sponges do.

Hello Kitty have a hard life without a mouth, just like Krillin without a nose.
